WRITER'S STATEMENT

I do not write to explain a story. I write to show what words cannot express.

I am interested in what a character does, what they leave unsaid and what they are willing to lose. I use genre as a tool, not a limit, to create stories capable of surprising, moving and staying with the audience.

Writing so something remains

J. H. Allely, the professional name of Javier Hinojosa Allely, is a Spanish screenwriter based in Seville, Spain. His writing is visual and atmospheric, with a focus on character, conflict and the narrative power of the image.

His writing seeks to turn powerful concepts into clear, human cinematic stories with a distinctive identity, balancing genre ambition with dramatic precision.

His audiovisual experience also includes co-creating Edificio 23 and serving as executive producer on five episodes. As a screenwriter, he wrote the short films Liberación, Nada sin ti and Mírame. His work has received dozens of awards, selections and international distinctions. SYNNOIA has been recognised by screenplay competitions in several countries, while his feature screenplay The Last Tear of Man has begun its international run with awards, finalist placements and official selections.

He completed the specialist course in Fiction Screenwriting at HAZ RTVE. He is currently developing feature screenplays and new projects across different genres and formats, with a clear ambition: to turn powerful ideas into visual, intimate and emotionally memorable cinematic stories.
